Band Biography

BrightWater - A Variety Band for All Occasions

Playing a wide variety of everyone’s favorites from past to present, BrightWater is a crowd-pleasing act. Their repertoire includes not only pop-rock hits spanning the decades, but also jazz, country, old standards…you name it!  BrightWater’s high-energy stage presence and dedication to having a good time are sure to make any audience sing and dance.

BrightWater began when singer/guitarist Bob Reid and keyboard player David Lane, residents of the Bright Water community in Snellville, decided to get together and jam.  David and Bob’s initial idea was to produce an outdoor concert called Spring Jam to showcase neighborhood musical talent. Drummer Buck Moore and bass guitar player Gary Youngblood, also neighbors, soon joined them and the group, affectionately known as “The House Band”, was born.  Spring Jam turned out to be a spectacular success and has become an annual event for the community.

One of the neighborhood guests to perform at the first concert was Gary Jones, whose lead guitar talents prompted a quick invitation to join the band.  The convergence of these solid vocal and instrumental talents at the same time and place has created a band of five friends who are having the time of their lives.  Their joy is making music and it shows in every performance.  From these humble beginnings, BrightWater has quickly become the band of choice for country clubs, weddings, private parties, and corporate events.
