Gary Youngblood – Bass, Guitar, & Vocals

     Gary’s musical journey began as a nine year old when his parents insisted he take piano lessons.  At thirteen he was given his first guitar and it soon became his preferred instrument.  Gary played in various bands throughout high school and even formed a band on board the USS Constellation while serving in the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club.   Shortly after returning to civilian life, Gary began performing as a solo guitarist to help put himself through college.  

     Gary was later asked to play bass for a band in Fresno, California and so began a new chapter in the journey.  Playing with several bands up and down the west coast, Gary gained tremendous experience holding up the bottom for a variety of styles from rock to blues to bluegrass.  He now shares his considerable skills and talents with the BrightWater band.
