Gary Jones (“Dr. J”) - Lead Guitar & Vocals

     Gary began playing guitar at age of 11 when his brother, Jim, walked into the house with an old Silvertone (Sears) acoustic-electric guitar he had obtained in trade for an intake manifold from his hotrod. Jim gave the guitar to Gary and he has been playing ever since. Gary has played in several bands in Missouri throughout the years, including The Fabulous Stingrays, and The Sound Company. During the 60’s, the Stingrays were the opening act for The Vogues.

    Gary holds graduate degrees in marriage and family counseling, career counseling, and business administration. During the day, “Dr. J” is a mild-mannered human resources executive for a company in Atlanta. By night, he does one of the things he loves most…playing guitar and performing with BrightWater.
